Magdalena Fjällström
Alpine Skiing
When Magdalena “Monne” Fjällström started competing in alpine skiing at age six, she already knew that she wanted to become a world champion. Growing up next door to Anja Pärson was both a source of inspiration and a frequent comparison in the Swedish media. At 18, she won the 2013 Junior World Cup in Canada. The year before, she had become a junior Olympic champion in Innsbruck, Austria. In total, she made 64 World Cup starts and won several medals at the European level. After suffering several serious knee injuries, she ended her alpine career in 2022. She now owns and runs a hotel near the mountain in her hometown of Tärnaby.
