Goalkeeper Jonas Gustafsson is sometimes known by fans as the Monster. Early in his career, he won his first Swedish Championship with Färjestad, was named the league’s best goalkeeper, and won the Guldpucken award as Sweden’s best player of the year. The following season, he was recruited to the NHL, where he played for Toronto, the Detroit Red Wings, the Boston Bruins, and the Edmonton Oilers. Before ending his professional career, he returned to Linköping. In total, he competed in two Olympic Games and two World Championships.
