Maria Pietilä Holmner is a retired Swedish alpine ski racer who excelled in the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom over a 15-year World Cup career from 2002 to 2018. She made 207 World Cup starts, earned 10 podium finishes with three victories, and placed as high as seventh overall in the World Cup standings in 2014. Pietilä Holmner also won six medals at the FIS Alpine World Championships, including individual silver in giant slalom at Åre in 2007 and individual bronze in slalom in 2011, as well as multiple team event medals. She represented Sweden at three Winter Olympics (2006, 2010, 2014), placing fourth in slalom at Vancouver 2010 and sixth in giant slalom at Sochi 2014. After retiring in January 2018, she became a ski expert commentator.
