Magnus Mähring

Erling Persson Professor - Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology. Chair - House of Innovation.

Magnus Mähring is the Erling Persson Professor of Entrepreneurship and Digital Innovation at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), Director of the SSE House of Innovation, and Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology. He is also a Fellow at Cambridge University and serves as co-director for the Swedish Center for Digital Innovation (SCDI). He previously served as SSE’s Associate Dean for MSc programs, Academic Director for the CEMS Master in International Management program, and Head of Strategic International Collaborations. He has held visiting positions at Georgia State University, Ecole de Management Strasbourg and Cambridge Judge Business School.

His research is broadly concerned with digital innovation and transformation, including organizational decision-making and transformation processes, interorganizational collaboration, organizational consequences of AI, and innovation ecosystems. He regularly contributes to international conferences, has co-edited four books, and publishes in journals such as California Management Review, Information Systems Research, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, MIS Quarterly, Human Relations, Organization Studies, European Journal of Information Systems, and Information Systems Journal. He has served in various editorial roles for major journals and has received several best paper awards and mentions for his work.

Magnus has extensive teaching and consulting experience and is on the jury for the Swedish CIO Awards. He also serves on the Swedish Government’s Digitalization Council.
