A school's work environment plays a big role in student outcomes - and in how parents and students choose schools. In this project, we study how these environments differ between schools, across regions, and over time.

Using detailed data from several national agencies, we examine whether a school's work environment is mostly shaped by external factors, like the local neighborhood, or if it can be improved through internal efforts - such as school leadership and organization. The findings will help us understand what schools can do to create a better and more supportive environment for both students and staff.
