Based in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), Marc’s role centers on showcasing the value of YouTube Ads to large advertisers. His day-to-day work includes shaping YouTube Ads’ presence at major industry events and leading exclusive engagements and communications for key clients.
“I am responsible for showing large advertisers how YouTube can support their business goals,” Marc explains.
Marc’s path into the tech industry began shortly after graduating from SSE. Drawn to the rapid pace of technological development and innovation, he was determined to build a career in the sector.
“My ambition was to work in the tech industry because I am very interested in the latest tech innovations, and I wanted to be part of a rapidly growing industry,” he says.
He started his career at Deloitte Digital, where he worked on digitalization projects for companies across Europe in a range of industries. The role gave him broad exposure to business transformation and technology implementation. He later joined Google, initially working as a consumer marketer for the company’s smart home products before moving into his current role focused on YouTube Ads.
When reflecting on why he chose the MSc in Business & Management at SSE, Marc points to the School’s close collaboration with industry as a key deciding factor.
“For me, a decisive factor in choosing SSE was the close collaboration between the School and Swedish tech companies such as Spotify, Ericsson, and Klarna.”
His time at SSE provided both practical experience and opportunities to develop skills beyond the classroom. Through company collaborations and student association projects, he gained hands-on experience that prepared him well for professional life.
