The emergence of a social financial infrastructure

The main object of this project is to explore the forming of a market for social impact financing in the context of a social democratic welfare state.

This involves financial instruments such as social bonds, social investment funds and social impact bonds. The study evolves around the institutional framework of the market and the roles various participants play (institutional investors, banks, regulators, municipalities, value based entrepreneurs, private enterprises like property companies and intermediaries such as social consultants and academia). Special attention is made to the interconnect between impact investing and evaluation of social impact.
