Evolving Lyko Social

The care and beauty retailer Lyko invited the students in E-Commerce Retail Club to their office to gain an understanding of the brand and its mission.

Students were encouraged to familiarize themselves with Lyko Social; the company's own community platform with user generated content and direct contact with employees - to find gaps and suggest improvements leading to lower barriers for users to engage and make their first posts.

With the company's playful brand image in mind, students managed to come up with innovative solutions such as algorithm upgrades, new structures, unique features as well as a complete makeover of the platform.

Special thanks to Communication and Sustainability Manager Tom Thörnblom for hosting us and providing an interesting and challenging case.
