Workshop on sustainability issues at ICA Gruppen

ICA had a workshop on how the company can help its customers plan their purchases to be in line with the organization's climate targets.

The students in the ICA Retail Club met with Elin Fogelström, Sara Berg and Emma Toft within the Corporate Responsibility department at ICA Gruppen. Together, they introduced ICA Gruppen's sustainability work and presented the company's strategy, goals and how they work with customer climate ambitions in their daily operations.

The students then split into teams of four and each group got assigned with a question of concern regarding the overall theme of the workshop. Solutions were then presented through powerpoint in front of the other students and people from ICA Gruppen's corporate responsibility and sustainability departments. After each presentation there were room for questions and discussions which took the ideas presented even further.

The proposed solutions that were brought up touched upon climate smart promotions, double bonus points for purchases of sustainable products as well as increased awareness through product storytelling and climate impact rankings.
