Dr. Ciara Sutton awarded with SSE Corporate Partners' Pedagogical Award

This year's Corporate Partners' Pedagogical Award goes to Dr. Ciara Sutton for her significant accomplishments in pedagogy and student learning. Helena Saxon, CFO of Investor, presented the award, which amounts to 100,000 SEK.

Dr. Ciara Sutton is this year's winner of SSE Corporate Partners' Pedagogical Award. Her broad, deep and significant accomplishments in pedagogy and student learning have earn her the first place for this prize.

Helena Saxon, CFO of Investor and member of the Corporate Partnership Program Advisory Board, presented the award, that includes a diploma and a grant that amounts to 100,000 SEK.

About the winner

Dr. Ciara Sutton has a long-running record as an excellent teacher in a range of settings, from Bachelor to Executive MBA level. She has a deep commitment to student learning, coupled with a combination of empathy and high expectations on students. She also has an uncommonly well-developed understanding of the student learning environment and culture, and how these can be influenced.

Her dedication to quality in program delivery and to continuous improvement is outstanding. The result is that the program that she is currently responsible for, the MSc in International Business, regularly has the highest program evaluations at SSE. The program was also ranked number 7 in the world, in the Financial Times Master in Management ranking.

About SSE Corporate Partners' Pedagogical Award

The SSE Corporate Partners' Pedagogical Award was established in 2017 by the Corporate Partner Advisory Board with the objective of further promoting pedagogical development at the Stockholm School of Economics. The prize is given to a sucessfull and promising professor whose work has contributed to the improvement and development of their course or program at the School.
