CWWH Thesis Award

Wellbeing, welfare and happiness (WWH) are gaining increasing priority and interest in public policy, on both global, national and regional levels, as well as in organisations and individual’s lives. A growing body of research shows that WWH relates to sustainability, resilience and productivity on all levels. Whether it be national economies and public health, organizational output, or quality of life, WWH matters to everyone. The award aims also to stimulate student interest in and work on economic wellbeing and financial health. All in all, the award highlights research from academic disciplines and institutions across Sweden and make findings available to a wider public.

About the award

The award targets MSc and BSc theses from all academic disciplines – including, for example, economics, psychology, medicine, behavioral sciences, sociology, law, public health, business administration, and information systems who wish to investigate what constitutes a good life, wellbeing, and welfare and how it can be promoted at individual, organizational, or societal levels. The award is open for all students in Sweden.

The award is SEK 25 000 and is awarded for the best thesis based on a jury decision.

Next Deadline: September 30, 2026.
The thesis must have been defended sometime between July 2025 and June 2026.
