Center for Migration and Integration Research: A multistakeholder Arena

The Center for Migration and Integration Research conducts and disseminates cross-disciplinary social science research on how migration regimes and regulations, business models and working conditions, and social and professional networks interact to shape integration and social sustainability. Sustainable integration is supported by understanding the interplay between rights and responsibilities, labor conditions, and social inclusion.

Sustainable integration is supported through knowledge of the interplay between responsibilities and rights, working conditions, and social inclusion. The center supports multistakeholder collaboration between various actors in the migration and integration chain with the aim of gathering, developing, and spreading science-based knowledge.

The center is also a platform to support the sustainable integration of third-country nationals in Sweden. Together with key stakeholders in the integration chain, experiences and insights are incorporated into a systemic perspective for collective solutions. The center emphasizes the importance of collaboration at multiple levels and focuses not only on supporting labor market employment but also on other dimensions of sustainable integration such as understanding the facilitators and markers of integration.

The Center is funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), and co-funded by the European Union.
