Tackling the Challenge of Product Returns

Product returns pose a significant problem for retailers with their effects stemming from various economic, operational, and customer-centric considerations. At the same time, shopping behavior is increasingly distributed across channels, and new retail formats challenge firms to understand the dynamic drivers and consequences of product returns.

On November 15, Christoph Baldauf and Alexander Mafael will present insights from existing academic research and their own ongoing work on understanding and managing product returns. Against this background, we hope to have a lively discussion and explore collaboration opportunities in this field.
