Student stories

What do our students think of the double degree program with the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) and Sciences Po (Paris School of International Affairs)?
The Stockholm School of Economics and Sciences Po are both leading universities, and I've had the opportunity to learn from a number of brilliant professors. I've also met students from all around the world, who have helped me to broaden my perspective. What's more, living and studying in both Paris and Stockholm has been a lot of fun, and I've made memories to last a lifetime.

This unique program has been fantastic preparation for a career in a world with interconnected economies and global challenges, where things change quickly and the ability to think critically is crucial.

As well as studying policy challenges affecting the global economy, this program also allowed me to develop the quantitative economic skills needed to understand these issues deeply. The cross-disciplinary nature of the program fostered my ability to consider issues from different perspectives, and to apply my knowledge and skills across different topics.

I can personally attest that this opens various career paths. Both professional, at IGOs and financial institutions, and research positions, at universities in both Sweden and abroad - few programs prepare you for both paths as well.

I wholeheartedly recommend this program; it is almost too good to be true!

Not only does it allow you to study for separate degrees at two leading European universities – in just two years - but its interdisciplinary structure teaches you how to approach problems holistically. It is truly an example of an education where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

I especially appreciated how the program lets students combine practitioner-led classes in various subjects at Sciences Po with the methodological rigor of an economics degree at SSE.

Plus, you get an excuse to live in Paris for a year, which is pretty great in itself!

I highly recommend this program for those who want to gain new and valuable perspectives on society – both as a student and as an individual.
