Nobel discussions
At the Stockholm School of Economics we’re proud of our uniquely close ties to the Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. Every year, the economy laureates visit our School for a more informal and personal discussion with peers and students.
SSE's annual Nobel discussion with the laureate(s) takes place in December every year. Our students get to meet each year's winner(s) and a discussion is held at SSE's premises.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were no Nobel discussions in 2020 or 2021. The 2022 discussion with Ben Bernanke, Douglas Diamond and Philip Dybvig was broadcasted live and is available to watch on YouTube.
The 2019 discussion with Laureates Esther Duflo, Abhijit Banerjee and Michael Kremer was also broadcasted live on Facebook. The broadcast is available on YouTube.
