Thuy Vu at SSE received the Global Swede award

The Global Swede award is awarded to active, committed, and enthusiastic students who are excellent in areas closely related to innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship and shown that they are great representatives of their own country as well as Sweden. One of them was Thuy Vu at the Stockholm School of Economics.

The award is given to international (non-EU/EEA) students who are good ambassadors for the higher education institution and for Sweden and who have distinguished themselves through creativity, entrepreneurship, or innovation in their academic disciplines. The aim is to highlight international students and their importance as ambassadors for Sweden. The intention is to motivate and encourage these students to maintain their relationship with Sweden and their higher education institution after completing their studies, encouraging them to act as ambassadors for Sweden as a destination for higher education. They can also be a potential asset for Swedish trade and industry in their homeland.

In the end of May, over 20 excellent international students were celebrated in an online ceremony. It was the second time that the award ceremony was held digitally due to current circumstances. Among them was Thuy Vu, from Vietnam, who is an excellent student enrolled in the MSc in Business & Management at Stockholm School of Economics. She is an energetic and engaged student with international experience in global tech unicorns, a proud holder of the K-A Bonnier Scholarship, and active in entrepreneurship in both the Nordic Region and Southeast Asia. Thuy is an inspiring and valuable ambassador for Swedish education. Her top academic performance and community engagement make her a true Global Swede.
