MDA1

The first version of the MDA program launched in the autumn of 2011. In total 6 professional athletes from various sports participated. Below you can find a brief summary of their merits and link to interviews regarding their initial impression of the program.

Christina Bengtsson

Christina was born 1974 in Långås. She is a world champion in precision shooting, having won the WC both in team and individually. In 2005 she won the Military World Championships, in which she was only one point away from breaking the world record. Christina is also a military officer and has through the Swedish military elite athlete project, FM Elit, been able to combine her work with sports. Apart from her military career, she frequently lectures to audiences worldwide, having entered TEDx stages and at visited international business schools and major corporations.

Samuel Eriksson

Samuel was born in 1978 in Borlänge. He has dedicated much of his life to golf and has made an career specialising in the optimization of operations and quality at golf resorts. He is a certified Greenkeeper and currently works as a Course Manager commissioned by various golf clubs, one being PGA Catalunya in Spain.

Magdalena Forsberg

Magdalena was born in 1967 in Örnsköldsvik. She started her career as a cross-country skier, winning a bronze medal in the World Championships ski relay at an age of 19. In 1993, she ventured into biathlon, in which she holds 6 WC-gold, 1 WC-silver, 6 WC-bronze and 2 Olympic bronze medals. Her performance has been accredited the Jerring Award 4 times, which in itself is a record. Since then, Magdalena has among other things worked as an expert commentator and lecturer.

Peter Forsberg

Peter Forsberg was born in 1973 in Örnsköldsvik. He was only 16 years old when he was recruited to Modo’s A-team and has since played in various NHL clubs such as Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Philadelphia Flyers and Nashville Predators. During his time with the Colorado Avalanche, they won the Stanley Cup twice. He has been a part of the Swedish national team between 1992-2010, winning two gold medals in both the Olympics and the WC. Moreover, Peter has accumulated several awards and prizes during his career, such as the Hart Memorial Trophy, Art Ross Trophy and in 2017 he was named one of ‘100 Greatest NHL Players’ in history. In 2011, Forsberg retired from his athletic career due to injuries and had by then endured 25 surgeries. Today Forsberg is actively engaged in several different business ventures.

Mattias Jonson

Mattias was born in 1974 in Kumla. During his professional football career, he has played in clubs such as Örebro SK, Helsingborgs IF, Bröndby IF (Denmark) and Norwich City (England) and Djurgårdens IF. He was also a part of the Swedish National team in 1996- 2006. He retired as a player in 2011 but has remained engaged in the Djurgårdens IF board.

Andy Rietschel

Andy was born in Stockholm in 1977 and from an early age devoted much time to dancing. In 1995 he won the Scandinavian ballet competition and not soon thereafter he was offered employment at the Swedish Royal Ballet School where he in 2001 was announced 1st soloist. He was also senior soloist at the Birmingham Royal Ballet 2002-2005 and Grand Sujet at the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam 2006-2007. Now retired from professional dancing, Andy has cultivated his business interest by i.e., starting Easycharge AB, leading Tesla's Swedish business team and currently being the deputy managing director of XPeng.
