Pär Mårtensson - Associate Professor

Pär Mårtensson (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), Head of Pedagogical and Faculty Development at SSE, and a member of Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education core faculty.

Professional/Academic qualifications:
Pär Mårtensson is an Associate Professor at the Department for Management and Organization at SSE. He is Head of Pedagogy and Faculty Development at SSE and an Associated Researcher at the Institute for Business Process Development. He has been involved in undergraduate, graduate and executive education for more than 20 years. Currently he is among other things Course Director and Coach for ChangeLive in SSE MBA.
Pär received his Ph.D. from SSE and his research interest concerns management processes and their relation to change activities, and methods for combining theory and practice. He has written or edited five books and published his research in for example MIS Quarterly. Pär is a frequent coach to project leaders in change projects and an advisor/coach to executives and management teams in industry concerning change activities and transformation projects.
Faculty development plays an important role for Pär. He was Program Director for the International Teachers Program (ITP) when it was hosted by SSE 2003-2005. In the subsequent ITP editions at IMD, SDA Bocconi, Kellogg School of Management and HEC Paris he has been a faculty member and a coach. He gives workshops on faculty development topics and coaching sessions at different business schools internationally and he co-edited the book "Teaching and Learning at Business Schools: Transforming Business Education" which was published by Gower Publishing.
