Application process
Step 1: Check your eligibility
Complete the CV review form to determine whether you qualify to apply for the SSE MBA Executive Format. We will review your profile and notify you by email as soon as possible.
Step 2: Submit your application
If you qualify to apply, you will receive access to the application portal. To begin your application, click “Apply now” in the application timeline at the top of the page. Please use the same email address that you used for the CV review form.
Your application is saved automatically, allowing you to return and continue working on it until you are ready to submit.
The admissions board reviews each application based on professional experience, academic qualifications, essays, test results, motivation, and overall fit for the program.
The following documents must be uploaded as part of the application:
- CV in English
- Degree certificate and academic transcripts
- High-resolution digital photo
- English test result, when applicable
- English test waiver application, when applicable
Applicants taking the TOEFL test should use SSE’s code: 6799.
We recommend taking time to prepare thoughtful essay responses. Essays of approximately 300–500 words are recommended for each question.
Once the application has been submitted, reference requests are automatically sent to your selected referees. Two professional referees are required.
If your employer supports your participation financially or through time allocation, one referee should preferably be your direct manager or another representative from your organization. This gives the organization an opportunity to confirm its support and awareness of your application.
Applicants who are applying independently may instead provide two professional referees who know them well in a professional context.
If you are self-employed, one referee should be a co-founder, business partner, or board member.
Referees should not be relatives.
Step 3: Tests, video assessment and a personal interview
Applications are reviewed continuously. Applicants considered a strong fit for the program will be invited to an admissions interview.
Before the interview, applicants are required to complete:
- A personality assessment
- An analytical or intelligence test
- A short video assessment
During the interview, discussions focus on the applicant’s professional background, current role, motivation for studying, and future ambitions.
Step 4: Notification of the admissions decisions
Admissions decisions are made by the admissions board. Admitted applicants receive a formal written offer, which must be signed electronically.
