Join us for Nobel Calling Stockholm
To become a Nobel Laureate is to be written into the history books. Their scientific contributions are celebrated by the whole world. While the science itself might sometimes seem daunting, research is really something fundamentally human. Scientific research can have an impact on all of society – or change the way that we understand it.
Research that affects us all
As all eyes turn to Stockholm in October, we take the opportunity to celebrate and explore research in all its facets. Nobel Calling Stockholm is a collective effort, bringing together universities, cultural institutions and organizations across the city. Between October 3 and October 13, you are invited to participate in activities around Stockholm, aimed at inspiring, enlightening – and hopefully explaining some of the research changing the world.
Behind the initiative is the Nobel Prize Museum and partnering organizations across Stockholm. This is the first year that the Stockholm School of Economics is participating. Our events this year highlight how research connects to questions that affect us all. What happens when global markets shake, and what does it mean for everyday life? How do we safeguard academic freedom in a world where knowledge is contested? What role can health diplomacy play in bridging science and policy? And how do we ensure that the tools of the digital future and the fruits of research are accessible to everyone?
So join us – and explore how research can open new perspectives on society and the challenges we face.
