Vetenskapsrådet funds new research projects

SSE researchers Ebba Sjögren, Anja Hjelström, Tomas Hjelström and Karin Svedberg Helgesson have been awarded research funding from Vetenskapsrådet.

Vetenskapsrådet is mandated by the Government to support young researchers in their career. Vetenskapsrådet has made their decision for project funding in this year's big announcement in the humanities and social sciences. Of a total of 1108 applications received, 94 projects have received grants, which gives a grant rate of 8.5 percent.

SSE assistant professor Ebba Sjögren (main applicant) was awarded 3.3 million SEK for the project ”Användbarhet i praktiken: Kapitalmarknadsaktörers användning av finansiell rapporting” together with SSE assistant professors Anja Hjelström and Tomas Hjelström, all at the Department of Accounting.

Associate professor Karin Svedberg Helgesson, department of Management and Organization, is co-applicant in the project”Säkerhetisering i praktiken - Advokater i kampen mot penningtvätt och finansiering av terrorism i Storbritannien, Sverige och Frankrike” for which professor Ulrika Mörth (main applicant), department of Political Science at Stockholm University, was awarded 6 million SEK. This project will also include a post doc.
