MBA scholarship recipients to strengthen Swedish competitiveness

Linda Frygell and Raphael Neves Batista have been awarded the Carl Silfvén SSE MBA 2021 Autumn scholarships. The scholarships are given to the next generation of leaders to promote the competitiveness of Swedish-based business in an international market.

The Carl Silfvén SSE MBA scholarships are funded by the Carl Silfvén Foundation, based on the will of Carl Silfvén from 1914.  The scholarships cover the full tuition fee of SEK 495,000 for the SSE MBA Executive Format program.

“We are very proud that the Carl Silfvén Foundation offers these scholarships,” says Karin Wiström, Director SSE MBA, Stockholm School of Economics. “We are convinced that Linda Frygell and Raphael Neves Batista will bring best practices and state-of-the-art management knowledge back into their businesses and become leaders with a strategic and holistic understanding of management, working more efficiently in their organizations.”

Linda Frygell is Chief Customer Officer, Team Lead and Global Support Tools Manager at Zaplox, Lund, Sweden:

“I am sincerely honored to have been selected as the recipient of the SSE MBA Carl Silfvén scholarship and would like to extend my gratitude to the Carl Silfvén Foundation for giving me the opportunity to join the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) MBA Executive Format program. To be given the chance to participate in a learning experience that combines theory and practice while leveraging the vast cultural and professional experiences of faculty, fellow students, and the extended SSE network will hopefully inspire, challenge, and broaden my perspectives to create new valuable skillsets and grow as a person. My hope for the future is to be able to better and more well-informed contribute to society by driving change and innovation through sustainable digitalization.”

Raphael Neves Batista is Regional Marketing Communications Manager at Getinge, São Paulo, Brazil:

“My sincere gratitude to the Carl Silfvén Foundation is not enough to express how thrilled I am to be awarded with this game changer scholarship, thanks for the trust.

I must confess I wasn´t expecting to be the recipient of the SSE Carl Silfvén Scholarship 2021 Autumn when I first applied due the highly qualified applicants from all around the world, but I believe that the sum of my professional profile, with my full commitment along the process created the perfect match between the SSE MBA and I.

I am a person driven by challenges and there is no other time, for our generation, so challenging as 2020/2021, all the doubts and concerns raised by COVID-19 worldwide leveraged my will to learn more about how to enable more collaborative and sustainable solutions on a global scale. This high level experience will provide me the depth of knowledge I need in many areas for me to develop professionally and personally, so I can contribute even further to our industry, our society and consequently to the world.

I also would like to say thanks to Jeanette Hedén-Carlsson, the Marketing Communications & Academy EVP of Getinge and Marcio Mazon our Regional President that have been very supportive all along the way in this process. Together we can build a better future for healthcare worldwide and take the Swedish sustainable and innovative philosophy to many other countries.”
