Initiative on Communication and Negotiation (ICON)

ICON is a cross-disciplinary research program that aims to advance functional knowledge of negotiations and bargaining dynamics. Using methods spanning from controlled experiments to in-depth qualitative research the initiative seeks to increase the understanding of micro-level actions and reactions in a wide range of negotiations and high-stakes communications settings. Empirical settings include business negotiations, political and diplomatic negotiations, stakeholder engagement, crisis communication, mediation, and dispute resolution.
