Raghuraman Rangarajan, Former MSc student in General Management

"The main reason for joining the mentor program was to build a relationship with someone who works in Sweden and to understand working life in Sweden."

Why did you participate in the MSc Mentor Program?
The main reason for joining the mentor program was to build a relationship with someone who works in Sweden, to understand working life in Sweden and to leverage his network to find an internship.

Have you developed and/or improved any personal skills during the program?
I think I've learned to structure my thoughts and really understand the message I want to convey in an interview.

Do you have any tips for future mentors/mentees?
I feel both mentors and mentees should be open to adapt to the styles and personalities of the each other. Both mentors and mentees should be open about their objectives right from the start. I think it makes it much more tangible and human if the motives are clear. I know some of my friends went on museem visits or cooked dinners with their mentors. I think the boundaries are for the mentees to push and explore.
