Vacancy: Postdoc in Economics of Education/Development Economics
This post doc will work with Associate Professor Abhijeet Singh and coauthors on projects funded by his European Research Council Starting grant (EDINCLUSION). This research agenda focuses on improving education systems in India with an emphasis on school markets, learning, and social inclusion. Experience with empirical methods in the economics of education is an advantage: this can include, e.g., one or more of experiment design, survey design, program evaluation or structural modelling (e.g. in models of school choice or achievement production functions).
The objective for this position is to coauthor high quality journal articles. There is no teaching associated with the position and the post doc will also have time to advance solo-authored projects. The postdoc will be embedded in an active research environment at the Department of Economics and, especially, with vibrant research groups in development economics and applied microeconomics. Some field travel to India is expected.
