About the event

This conference brings together companies, public authorities, researchers, and international experts to strengthen cooperation on sanctions compliance and countering circumvention related to Russia’s war against Ukraine. As sanctions regimes become increasingly complex, effective implementation depends not only on legal frameworks, but also on practical coordination, information-sharing, and risk awareness across sectors.

The event will combine strategic analysis with operational dialogue. The open morning session will provide international and Ukrainian perspectives on sanctions enforcement, present new research and data on compliance and circumvention patterns, and highlight company experiences with compliance in practice. Particular attention will be given to export-related risks, supply chains, and emerging challenges such as cryptocurrencies in relation to sanctions evasion.

The afternoon roundtable (invitation only) will offer a more focused discussion between Swedish authorities and private-sector representatives on practical challenges, contact points, responsibilities, and support mechanisms within the Swedish sanctions system. The conference aims to foster mutual understanding, strengthen professional networks, and identify concrete areas for continued cooperation, guidance, and policy development.
