Researchers and PhD students are invited to submit theoretical and applied papers in environmental, resource, and energy economics. No conference fee will be charged for presenters.
Keynote speaker
Hélène Ollivier
Ollivier is a Professor at the Paris School of Economics. Her research in environmental economics examines how environmental policies affect manufacturing firms and how environmental shocks – such as air pollution and temperature extremes – propagate through interconnected firms and countries. She is Co-Editor at the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management (JEEM) and the Review of Environmental Economics and Policy (REEP).

About the workshop
NAERE was launched in 2017 to strengthen cooperation and exchange among Nordic scholars in the field of environmental and resource economics. The inaugural workshop took place in Helsinki and was followed by rotating editions in Bergen, Copenhagen, and Uppsala. The 2026 edition of NAERE will be hosted in Stockholm by the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics, a research and policy center at SSE focused on economic development.
The workshop will provide an academic forum where established researchers and doctoral students can present their current research, receive constructive feedback, and create opportunities for new collaborations. Lunches and coffee will be provided on both days, along with a dinner on the first evening.
The workshop will contain three key elements: paper presentations, keynote lectures, and a special session on the environmental consequences of conflict. All sessions will be held in lecture rooms at SSE’s Sveavägen campus in Stockholm.
The organizing and scientific committee consists of Julius Andersson, Pamela Campa, and Elena Paltseva.
