How can entrepreneurship contribute to the economic empowerment of women?
A variety of different instruments and initiatives have been deployed to harness the economic potential of women in low-income countries, such as entrepreneurship and business training, microfinance, and self-help groups. These approaches are seen to confer many benefits, both economic and social, providing new and real opportunities to enhance women’s economic empowerment and at the same time contribute to inclusive and sustainable development.
The SSE Alumni Office, in collaboration with Misum and Hand in Hand, invites you to join this hybrid lunch event with inspiring presentations and a dynamic panel discussion where the speakers will share research findings and learnings from practical cases, and reflect on how entrepreneurship can lead to women’s economic empowerment in low-income countries.
We look forward to welcoming you to the SSE campus for this event! Light lunch will be provided starting from 11.30 if you choose to join us in person.
The event will also be streamed on Zoom for those of you who choose to attend virtually.
