Publications

Publishing sustainability research in highly ranked peer-reviewed academic journals is a central mission for the House of Sustainable Society. This page gathers academic publications, annual reports, policy briefs, and research reports we publish to advance knowledge and inform decision-makers.

Academic Insights

Browse our policy briefs showcasing sustainability research with relevance beyond academia.

Drawing on recently published research in peer-reviewed journals by House of Sustainable Society affiliates, each Academic Insight connects rigorous research with real-world questions to make complex issues clearer and more actionable.

Annual reports

We publish annual reports summarizing the research, collaborations, and key developments at the House of Sustainable Society. The reports highlight contributions to sustainable development in Sweden and globally, including work in sustainable finance, environmental and social governance, and interdisciplinary research.

Working papers

The House of Sustainable Society (HoSS) Working Paper Series brings together research from all our platforms.

We regularly publish new working papers through Scandinavian Working Papers in Economics (S-WoPEc) to make ongoing, non-peer-reviewed research accessible to scholars, policymakers and the wider public.

The series reflects the breadth of research within HoSS, spanning topics at the intersection of economics, finance, accounting, innovation, and sustainability.

Research reports

At the House of Sustainable Society we produce research reports that synthesize evidence and insights on key sustainability challenges and opportunities from non-peer-reviewed research.

Published independently or in collaboration with leading research institutions, they highlight findings that are relevant for policy and practice, helping bridge the gap between academic research and real-world decision-making
