The government has tasked Sida with evaluating its initiatives using scientific methods, a decision grounded on the guidance provided by Martina Björkman Nyqvist, Professor of Economics and Director of Misum at the Stockholm School of Economics, on evidence-based approaches during spring 2025.

Carl Folke, professor at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, director of the Beijer Institute, founder of the Stockholm Resilience Centre and Misum Board Member was selected to speak on Swedish Radio program Sommar i P1.

The latest Misum Annual Report is now available, showcasing a variety of sustainability-focused research projects, engaging multi-stakeholder events, and highlights from Misum's outreach and research communication activities.

Martina Björkman Nyqvist, Executive Director of Misum and the Carl Bennet and Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Professor in Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics, has been appointed as a new member of the Expert Group For Aid Studies / EBA by the Swedish government.

We are glad to announce that Misum Platform Director Mattia Bianchi, Affiliate Suvi Nenonen, and Kathleen Burke (formerly a postdoc at SSE) have secured 7 million SEK in funding from Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation for their 4-year research project: "Making Markets for Forest Ecosystem Services: Investigating Novel Technologies and Business Models."
