Students Katarina Li Qiu and Buene Gjana have been awarded the Gun and Einar Larsson Scholarship 2023 (GELS) for their project “The Making of Rwanda’s Physical Education Curriculum”.

CEMS, the unique global alliance of 34 of the world’s leading business schools and more than 70 corporate and social partners which together deliver the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM), has elected Professor Lars Strannegård, President of the Stockholm School of Economics as its new Chair and Professor Sherif Kamel, Dean of the American University in Cairo Business School as Deputy-Chair.  Professor Strannegard takes up his new role having already served for two years as the Alliance’s Deputy Chair.

Carl Bennet and the Marianne & Marcus Wallenberg Foundation join forces to sponsor a new professorship at the Stockholm School of Economics. This enables internationally acclaimed Martina Björkman Nyqvist to continue her important research on development economics and children’s health and education as the new Carl Bennet & Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Chair in Economics.

The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is establishing a new professorship in Finance, the Katarina Martinson Chair in Finance, to be held by Professor Mariassunta Giannetti. The new chair is made possible by a donation from Katarina Martinson, thereby ensuring that Sweden and SSE keeps one of the leading professors in financial research.

The newly launched Center for Family Enterprise (CFE) at the Stockholm School of Economics will study the impact and organization of family enterprises in the Nordics.

SSE Business Lab is now closing a new 40 million SEK fund backed by Bonnier Ventures and well-known profiles like Anna Nordell-Westling, Sven Hagströmer, Anna Kinberg Batra and Sebastian Knutsson. “Long-term thinking amplifies the potential returns”, says CEO Julia Delin.

The Stockholm School of Economics’ Master in International Business ranks fourth in the world, according to the 2022 Financial Times Master in Management ranking. This is the highest ranking any SSE program has ever received.
