GS1 Sweden joins the SSE Corporate Partnership Program

The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is excited to welcome GS1 Sweden to its Corporate Partnership Program. GS1 is recognized for its pioneering work in creating a global standard for retail checkout barcodes, which has been widely adopted globally.

“We are thrilled to have GS1 Sweden join our Corporate Partnership Program," says Professor Lars Strannegård, President at the Stockholm School of Economics. "GS1's expertise in value chain innovation and digital transformation closely aligns with the research and educational focus at SSE. We look forward to a productive and mutually beneficial partnership."

SSE is well-known for its close collaboration with the business community and its commitment to tailoring partnerships with its corporate partners to meet each company's unique needs. As a top-tier business school in Europe, SSE is dedicated to staying at the forefront of education and research, and the partnership with GS1 Sweden will further reinforce this goal.

GS1 enables companies to improve efficiency, safety and traceability in value chains across physical and digital channels. As the world economy becomes more data driven and circular, GS1 standards and services are more needed than ever.

"We are delighted to join the SSE Corporate Partnership Program with a specific focus on retailing," says Jonatan Tullberg, CEO of GS1 Sweden. "It is highly valuable for us to be able to engage with SSE's talented students, improving their understanding of global standards and the possibilities they bring for businesses to improve efficiency and traceability across their value chains. GS1 enables improved data collection, which helps businesses make better choices. A purpose-driven organisation such as ours is attractive to top talent and we are certain the partnership with the Center for Retailing will bring value to both parties.
