Balancing career and wellbeing

We are pleased to invite participants in the MSc Mentorship Program 2023/24 to this group mentoring session. During your lunch hour, you will have the opportunity to hear from two experienced professionals and mentors, followed by an interactive Q&A discussion.

Do you have a tendency to want to do it all? A tendency to do too much? Have you heard of burnout but dismissed it as something that wouldn't really happen to you? That's what Lisa and Tania did. Join this session to hear the powerful journeys and learnings from two SSE alumni who have burnt out and want to help prevent you from getting there. You'll learn about the neuroscience beind how to function better and how to work with yourself to overcome unhelpful thought-loops. This session is for anyone who has an equally strong drive for "success" as they do a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Lisa Blom

Lisa Blom is the Head of Industry Relations at Google in Northern Europe. She has worked in a range of high performance cultures from big tech, to consulting to the ministry of finance. Today her work centres around the interface between technology, business and society and focuses on artificial intelligence, sustainability and privacy.

Tania Johannisson

Tania Johannisson is a multiple award-winning executive with 15 years experience leading and reshaping multicultural organizations.
