Join us for an exciting conversation that will tackle these questions and more. Our panel features Karin Dembrower, a breast radiologist at St Görans Hospital and the author of a fascinating article on AI in breast cancer screening in Lancet Digital Health. Alongside her is Stephanie Robertson, a breast pathologist, MD PhD and medical manager at Stratipath and she has been actively involved in implementing Stratipath Breast, the first decision support tool for AI-based prognostic risk profiling of breast cancer, into several health care regions in Sweden.

Speakers

Stephanie Robertson, MD PhD

Stephanie Robertson is a surgical pathologist trained at Karolinska University Hospital/Södersjukhuset, with a PhD from Karolinska Institutet. Her research is focused on improving breast pathology with digital image analysis. She works as medical manager at Stratipath and has been actively involved in implementing Stratipath Breast, the first decision support tool for AI-based risk profiling of breast cancer, into several health care regions in Sweden.

Karin Dembrower, MD PhD

Karin Dembrower works as a breast radiologist at Capio S:t Görans Hospital and she is also the head physician at the breast imaging department. She started her PhD studies in October 2017 at the Karolinska Institutet and defended her thesis in April 2022. The title of the the thesis is “Deep Learning in Breast Cancer Screening”. She implemented AI in the screening facility in June 2023 with the Lunit Insight MMG algorithm after conducting a prospective study called ScreenTrustCAD.
