Fazer on Principles for International Growth
Kjetil Undhjem, Vice President Internationalization at Fazer, shared insightful lessons from his extensive global career in the FMCG industry, having previously worked with many large international brands. Drawing from real life cases from his career, Kjetil illustrated his three core principles: trust, courage, and ownership, and how these have helped him in scaling brands internationally.
He highlighted how courage comes from both curiosity and creativity, and that it is sometimes good to push boundaries. Additionally, he talked about how failures are not something to be afraid of, but rather something that makes us learn how to do better in the future. Finally, in addition to his professional insights and inspiring us to pursue an international career, he also touched upon the importance of balancing it with family life, illustrated through personal examples.
