Our speaker, Fanny Almersson, a PhD candidate at the Stockholm School of Economics, will share her research on accounting and gender inequality in football clubs. Her work explores the business case for women’s football, with a particular focus on double clubs and their efforts to integrate and promote women’s football. Fanny will provide insights from her case study of Hammarby, examining both economic and cultural inequalities. The seminar highlights the challenges and achievements in creating a united football club that breaks barriers for female athletes, offering a unique perspective on the intersection of gender, sports, and sustainability.
