Breakfast roundtable on organizing and scaling digital transformation - 4 Sept 2018

On 4 September 2018, the Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg Center for Innovative and Sustainable Business Development at the House of Innovation arranged a breakfast roundtable with a focus on organizing and scaling digital transformation.

The theme of the roundtable was digital transformation, featuring opening remarks by Professor Sarah Jack and presentations by Professor Michael Barrett, Cambridge University, and Mats Agervi, CEO of Combient.

The topic of the breakfast roundtable discussion was organizing and scaling digital transformation and the key aims and questions for the morning were:   

*  What is a common framework for establishing a baseline for Digital Transformation?

*  How do you organize and lead digital transformation in your company?

*  How do you scale up your digital transformation efforts?  

The presentations were followed by a discussion among the participants, on the topic of digital transformation.

Michael Barrett is Professor of Information Systems & Innovation Studies at Judge Business School, Cambridge Universityand Distinguished Visiting Professor of Innovation at the Stockholm School of EconomicsHe is Academic Director of Cambridge Digital Innovation. He has published in many top-tier IS (information systems) and organisation journals, and has won several best paper awards at EGOS and the Academy of Management (AOM). In 2016, Michael was awarded the Distinguished Scholar award by the OCIS division of the AOM.

Mats Agervi is CEO of Combient and a renowned expert on globalisation issues with a solid international experience from multinational companies Ericsson and IBM where he during two decades held several executive leadership positions. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management and is an appreciated speaker on globalisation, digitalisation and transnational leadership.

Sarah Jack is holder of the Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg Chair for Innovative and Sustainable Business Development at the Stockholm School of Economics. 

The session was part of the outreach program of the Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg Center for Innovative and Sustainable Business Development at the SSE House of Innovation.
