CWWH Seminar: The Green Schoolyard Project – Exploring Movement and Place in Urban Childhoods

The Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness (CWWH) warmly invites you to a lunch seminar featuring affiliated researcher Daniel Berglind (Associate Professor, Karolinska Institutet), together with Dr. Jairo Migueles and Dr. Pablo Campos.

Together, they will present findings from The Green Schoolyard Project – a collaboration between researchers and the City of Stockholm exploring how greener, more engaging schoolyard environments can support children’s health, well-being, and connection to urban spaces.

What to Expect:

  • An introduction to the project’s public health and policy context
    (Daniel Berglind)
  • How accelerometers are used to track children’s movement patterns
    (Jairo Migueles)

  • Insights from combining GPS and accelerometry to understand how and where children move in urban environments
    (Pablo Campos)

This seminar offers a unique interdisciplinary perspective on how data, design, and public health can come together to create healthier cities for the next generation.

Welcome!
