Ylva Snöfrid, born 1974 in Umeå, is one of Sweden’s most experimental artists, known for a practice in which painting, ritual, and daily life are inseparable.

In 2017, during a legendary eight-hour transmutation ritual in Montpellier, Ylva and her mirror twin Snöfrid merged into a single entity, and a singular artistic practice was born. Since then, she has exhibited at the Istanbul Biennial, Performa 19 in New York, and Art Basel, among others.

Ylva Snöfrid is represented in the SSE permanent collection with her work From the Eyes of the Painter (2018) in the auditorium.

Welcome to a conversation between Ylva Snöfrid and Firestorm partner Michael Storåkers on May 18, 12:15–13:00 in the very auditorium at Stockholm School of Economics, Sveavägen 65.

Lunch will be served.
