Helping Elite Athletes Transition to New Career Paths

The tenth edition of the Management Diploma for Athletes at the Stockholm School of Economics is underway.

On Thursday, September 12, the Center for Sports & Business held a meeting with its advisory board to discuss several strategic issues for the Center.

Last week, leaders from Allsvenskan and Superettan participated in two intensive and inspiring days filled with fact-based lectures, productive group discussions, and valuable networking.

On Wednesday, September 4, the Center for Sports & Business at the Stockholm School of Economics joined forces with the Sports & Business Committee (SASSE) to host the inaugural Sports & Business Night, a vibrant event that brought together students, athletes and business leaders to explore the growing intersection between sports and business.

This week, the Center for Sports & Business launched a multi-year educational program tailored specifically for decision-makers in Swedish Elite Football. The program includes participants from top-tier football clubs in both the Allsvenskan and Superettan leagues.

The European Sports Business Program's (ESBP) third and final module convened at ESSEC Business School in Paris from May 27 to May 29. This session, focusing on Leadership & Culture, was led by Karoline Strauss, Professor of Organizational Behavior at ESSEC Business School.

On Tuesday, May 21, the Center for Sports and Business organized the fourth edition of its partner day at the Stockholm School of Economics. The theme was "Sport as a financial asset class - what does the landscape look like and what opportunities and threats arise for Swedish sports?" The partner day featured Tomas Hjelström (Doctor of Economics and member of the CSB), Fanny Almersson (PhD student at the CSB) as well as CEMS students presenting their projects on the Swedish Golf Federation and the Marathongruppen.
