The Center for Sports & Business is very happy to share the news of a new student-led initiative - the CSB Sports Committee, which officially launched this week. The aim of the committee is to promote awareness of the benefits of sports for well-being, as well as gaining insight into the sports industry from a CFO and investor perspective.

On Wednesday, June 14, the Center for Sports & Business organised a professor fika in the Heckscher-Ohlin room at the Stockholm School of Economics in order to celebrate Center Director Martin Carlsson-Wall's appointment as professor at the SSE, as well as introduce our new Jonas Persson Visiting Professor, Paolo Aversa.

On June 13, members of the Center for Sports & Business at the Stockholm School of Economics were invited to the inauguration of the KTH Center for Sports Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology's newest research center.

On Monday, May 29, the Center for Sports & Business held a joint webinar together with the Spanish Football League LaLiga about the history of financial regulation in football. This webinar featured Tomas Hjelström, Assistant Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics, as well as Javier Gómez, Chief Corporate Officer at LaLiga.

On Tuesday, May 23, the Center for Sports & Business organised an educational partner day at the Stockholm School of Economics for its sports partners. The theme of the day was The Role of Sports in Society - Combining Narratives and Measurement for Maximum Impact.

On Monday April 17, the Center for Sports & Business held a very successful event together with Art Initiative at the Stockholm School of Economics about professional wrestling, art and sport. The panel for the event included the professional wrestler Fabian Puregger (CEO Svensk Wrestling), the curator Ashik Zaman, the Center for Sports & Business's Lennart Asensio Nitz, as well as Art Initiative's Tinni Ernsjöö Rappe.

On March 8th, on International Women's Day, the Center for Sports & Business held an event on the topic of future proofing Swedish sports - how to become a more inclusive and competitive sport nation? The event featured prominent speakers from the world of sports, media, business and politics, including Petra Noreback, Karin Torneklint, Åsa Edlund Jönsson, Linda Wijkström, Caroline Strand, as well as Jonus Bartholdson.

On Friday, February 10th, representatives from AIK, Djurgården and Hammarby football clubs visited the Stockholm School of Economics to jointly hold a panel discussion regarding the issue of managing a sports club.

On Wednesday, February 8th, Juan Fuentes Fernandez, LaLiga Delegate in the Nordic countries, visited SSE to hold an inspirational lecture in connection with the Sports & Business Week that the Center for Sports & Business organises together with the Student Association's Sports Committee.

On Friday January 26th, Anders Sewerin from the Center for Sports & Business attended the 5th edition of Swedish Elite Football's (SEF) Network Arena in Amsterdam to talk about the Management Diploma for Athletes Program.
