Handels x Mejan 2022

As last year we are launching Handels x Mejan: an exhibition with four newly graduated master students from The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm (also known as Mejan) at the SSE Campus. The exhibition is curated by the students in Art Division, SSE (also known as Handels), and will take place on campus (Sveavägen 65) until June 3.

Handels x Mejan is a collaborative effort between SSE and newly graduated students from the Royal Institute of Art. The works in the exhibition are selected by SSE Art Initiative and Art Division based on topics and artistic expressions that we think are contemporary and will resonate well with current events and thus, today’s students.

Art Talks have taken place within the SSE Bachelor course Art & Luxury, and they aimed at giving business students insight into the life of a young artist. What is an artistic process? How do young artists think? How do current events impact processes, methods and themes?

Participating artists in Handels x Mejan 2022:

Nada Ali is exhibiting her project The making and breaking of an Icon (ongoing).

Georg Nordmark has three artworks in the exhibition, all sculptures: Kinetics of Fodder (2021) outside the main entrance of Sveavägen 65, Dumb Ball (Elephant Feeder) (2021) in the middle of the atrium and Strong box (Great Ape Feeder) (2021), in the corridor to the right after the entrance.

Tim Høibjerg has three artworks in the exhibition: two videos, Active Denial System and Lady Lovely Locks, screened at the big screen in the atrium, and Void If Tampered: the foot on the scene in the atrium.
