All Flesh Is Grass, 2009, is Denise Grünstein’s first video work and came to be si- multaneously with the photographic series Figure Out. The poetic and moving imagery that characterize Grünstein’s artistic career are here complemented with an ungarnished expression, a rawness that is apparent from both the video work and the picture series. The form in her dreamlike staged scenarios conceals itself in hair in an enigmatic and elusive manner.
Denise Grünstein (born 1950, in Helsinki, Finland) has worked as an artist and pro- fessional photographer since the early 80’s when she participated in an important exhibitions Mirroring (Spegling) at Moderna Museet and Blinding Pictures (Blän- dade Bilder) at Fotografiska.
