Nordic Happiness Summit 2026
The second Nordic Happiness Summit (NHS) took place on May 5th and 6th in Stockholm. 500 researchers, students, decision-makers, politicians and business leaders from the Nordics and beyond discussed wellbeing at individual, organizational and societal levels. Central themes included Happy Progress, Happy Nordics, Happy Tech, Happy You, Happy Measurements, and Happy Organizations. Among this year’s speakers were Micael Dahlen, Richard Layard, Paul Dolan, Elisabeth Svantesson, and Karin Wanngård, alongside leading international scholars and public health experts.
NHS is an annual event alternating between Sweden and Finland.
It is organized by the Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness at the Stockholm School of Economics together with the Hanken School of Economics. By fostering collaboration in some of the world’s highest-ranking countries for wellbeing, the summit aims to accelerate knowledge, policy development and organizational practices that strengthen both happiness and sustainable economic development.
