We want to advance sustainable markets together with decision-makers

Misum's mission is to generate rigorous knowledge on sustainable markets that can be used by CEOs, managers, politicians, consumers and other societal actors to become active parts in a sustainability transition. Almost all governments, high-level international political committees and business executives have repeatedly acknowledged the urgent need to achieve the SDGs, but the follow-up on the manifold ambitions is poor. Our objective is therefore to have an ongoing dialogue about the practical implications of science-based targets for different actors, and to provide benchmarks and frameworks for orientation based on their major challenges.

To change 'business as usual', we need to understand the mechanisms between specific activities of market actors and outcomes, the drivers behind them and the barriers to change. Only by comprehending these elements can we effectively intervene, innovate, and shift the trajectory towards sustainable and equitable business practices.
