Sustainability - impact and frustrationPersonal journeys in art and science

Misum and SSE Art Initiative invite you to a seminar on art and science with artists Bigert & Bergström and SSE researchers Emilia Cederberg and Svenne Junker.

Misum and SSE Art Initiative will host a seminar seminar on art and science with artists Bigert & Bergström and SSE researchers Emilia Cederberg and Svenne Junker. They will be in a conversation moderated by Emma Stenström. The conversation will focus on frustration and trying to have an impact via art, finance and academic research on our planet the rapidly changing climate. The question is: what tools can be used to change the situation for the better?

Artist duo Bigert & Bergström have for three decades experimented with artificially created and manipulated climate and natural phenomena. Their artistic productions range from large-scale sculptures, installations and public commissions to performance and film. Recently they showed a selection of works in the exhibition Eye of the Storm, at Artipelag in Stockholm.

The researchers Svenne Junker and Emilia Cederberg are both ex-students from Stockholm School of Economics and now part of the research center Misum (Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets). Svenne is doing research on governance of sustainable markets and Emilia on sustainability analysis in the financial sector and investor decisions.

Moderator Emma Stenström is Center Director for the research center for Arts, Business and Culture at SSE and one of the teachers responsible for the education track Global Challenges.
