CFR Early Insight #33 | Leveraging systems thinking for sustainability and growth in retail

A breakfast seminar with Kaisa Koskela-Huotari (SSE) & Suvi Nenonen (SSE).

Leveraging systems thinking for sustainability and growth in retail

with Kaisa Koskela-Huotari (SSE) & Suvi Nenonen (SSE)

Tackling waste reduction and developing sustainable product categories are pivotal for minimizing the retail industry’s ecological impact. However, the path to implementing these green initiatives is often filled with challenges. Through the lens of systems thinking, it is possible to unravel the underlying causes of these hurdles and provide strategic insights for overcoming them.

On April 17, Kaisa Koskela-Huotari and Suvi Nenonen will share insights from existing academic research and their own ongoing work on applying systems thinking for sustainability. Against this backdrop, we hope to have a lively discussion and explore collaboration opportunities in this field.

CFR Early Insight

Center for Retailing (CFR) at the Stockholm School of Economics sets out to bring the best of science to the world of retailing. To achieve this, our research should offer novel insights into contemporary challenges in retail management.

Early Insight is a seminar series through which CFR faculty members share insights from ongoing research projects. The series provides a platform for employees at our partner companies to meet and discuss current challenges in retailing.
