    The Swedish Gender Equality Agency's thesis competition was organized for the first time in 2021. The content related criterion for participation in the competition is that the essay contributes to knowledge about gender equality policy or social development based on the ambitions of gender equality policy.

  • Myrdal Prize 2022 goes to the Postdoc Fellow at the Department of Economics - Ulrika Ahrsjö

    The prize was established in 1983 as a tribute to Professor Gunnar Myrdal on his 85th birthday. The Myrdal Prize is awarded each year by Swedbank for the best article of the year in the Swedish Economic Association's journal Ekonomisk Debatt.

In a recently published paper, Sampreet Goraya, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, brings evidence that the Indian caste system has a distortionary effect on capital and talent allocation in the economy.
