On September 29, join Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (Misum) for the 2023 edition of the annual Misum Forum, the flagship sustainability conference at the Stockholm School of Economics. Internationally renowned academic speakers and industry leaders will convene to discuss the role of firms in shaping an equitable and sustainable economy.

Misum, the Beijer Institute and the British Embassy in Stockholm hosted a high-level event on ‘The Economics of Biodiversity: The Dasgupta Review’ at the Stockholm School of Economics. The lead author of the influential Dasgupta Review, Professor Sir Partha Dasgupta discussed progress on integrating biodiversity into economics.

The FREE Network together with the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) invites academics to join a full day workshop session on the economics of air pollution at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). The workshop will provide presentations of the latest research on the economics of air pollution and will provide an in-depth look at how to conduct research on the topic.

On October 5, Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (Misum) hosted the 2022 edition of the Misum Forum, a full day in-person conference at the Stockholm School of Economics. Industry leaders and international academics convened to discuss the role and responsibility of the business community in ending poverty - the first goal in the UN 2030 agenda for sustainable development.

This “campfire” event welcomed entrepreneurship scholars from within Sweden but also those with whom we are connected, invited us to come together and celebrate Sweden’s success in entrepreneurship scholarship while looking at how we can continue moving forward to build a global and sustainable future.

Misum is delighted to host Professor Leonard Wantchekon from Princeton University who will give a special guest lecture at the Stockholm School of Economics.

On 9 May, Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (Misum) is hosting a seminar on the forthcoming April 2022 World Economic Outlook (WEO) chapter: “A Greener Labor Market: Employment, Policies, and Economic Transformation”. Niels-Jakob H. Hansen, Economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) working on the WEO, will join us to present key findings from the chapter.
