Rhiannon Pugh
Rhiannon Pugh is a senior lecturer in innovation studies at the Centre for Innovation Research (CIRCLE) at Lund University and an Affiliated Research Fellow at the House of Innovation at Stockholm School of Economics. She works at the interface between innovation studies, entrepreneurship, and human geography. Her research interests include regional innovation policy, entrepreneurial universities, and regional development in non-core regions. Rhiannon teaches at undergraduate, masters, and PhD level across economic geography, social science research methods, and innovation topics.
She is a fellow of the Regional Studies Association and early career editor of the journal Regional Studies, Regional Science, and holds an RSA network grant on the theme of “Gender and Regional Studies”. Her research has been funded by FORMAS and Handelsbanken in Sweden, and NESTA in the UK. Her research has been published across a wide range of outlets in both innovation and entrepreneurship and human geography including, for instance: Regional Studies, Small Business Economics, Environment and Planning. She has recently co-edited a book on the topic of “Entrepreneurial Ecosystems Meet Innovation Systems” published by Edward Elgar.
